The Grade 8 Violin Anthology comprises a broad selection of examination pieces from lists A, B, and C of the Associated Board syllabus from 2024, together with a valuable selection of suggested repertoire suitable for the own-choice section of the performance exam.
This collection supports students preparing for ABRSM Practical Exams of Performance Exams and is accompanied by Performance Notes by Jessica O'Leary, a professional violinist, teacher, ABRSM examiner, presenter, and adjudicator. The notes give advice on technique and interpretation for each piece and guidance on preparing an effective programme. Please note this corresponds roughly to ASTA Advanced level, Grade 5.
