Luigi Boccherini (1743-1805) was an Italian cellist and composer. He spent much of his career in employ of Spanish patrons; as such, his music retains the galante style popular in courtly settings and sometimes contains suggestions of his Spanish locale. One of his best known works is his Concerto No. 9 in B-flat Major, G.482.
