Michael Daddona began his career in woodworking in the mid-'90s as a furniture and cabinet maker. With a deep love of music and a desire to practice a more traditional craft, he became interested in violin making. Michael began an apprenticeship in the workshop of Francis Morris, where he stayed for eleven years. He also spent time in the workshop of other recognized masters, and he enjoys relationships with some of today's finest living makers.
Michael was awarded a Certificate of Merit for Tone at the International Competition held by the Violin Society of America in 2018. He has taught violin setup and varnishing at the University of New Hampshire Violin Craftsmanship Institute, and he is a co-founder of Temple Violins in Hudson, NY.
