Cody Kowalski cello bow
Cody Kowalski grew up in an artistic family on a small island near Port Townsend, Washington - a town dubbed the "American Mirecourt," for its concentration of bow makers living there. Kowalski began making bows at a young age under the tutelage of Charles Espey. He has won top awards for his bows, including the distinct honor of three Gold Medals for the violin, viola, and cello bows entered into the Violin Society of America's 2016 competition, as well as two Grand Prix for Workmanship for a viola bow and cello bow at the 1st International Darling Bow Making Competition in Amsterdam in 2016. Cody is presently making bows in his workshop located near Bonn, Germany.
